Abstract

Papers of a publisher and editor of the "Waupun Leader-News," including correspondence and chronological clippings on his investigations of corruption in Dodge County, his support for open tax records, cooperative attempts to attract national advertisers to small midwestern newspapers, his participation with Thomas Amlie and others in the Wisconsin Committee for United Liberal Action (1942), and a promotional wheelbarrow race held to mark the paving of Highway 26 in 1931.
